The biggest Claude Code news of the day is the launch of Channels, a new feature that lets you connect a persistent local Claude Code session directly to a Discord or Telegram bot. As DataChaz breaks down on X, the workflow is straightforward: spin up a persistent Claude session, wire it to your messaging bot of choice, fire off tasks from your phone while away from the desk, and return to finished code. The practical upshot is that Claude Code is no longer tethered to your terminal window — it becomes an asynchronous, remotely-addressable agent you can delegate to throughout your day.
